Business Investment Program
The Business Investment Fund provides a source of funding to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). The Business Investment Fund is comprised of two components: the Business Investment Program and the Business Development Support Program.

The Economic Diversification and Growth Enterprises (EDGE) Program provides incentives to encourage significant new business investment in the province to help diversify the economy and stimulate new private sector job creation, particularly in rural areas.

Investment Attraction Fund
This fund is designed to attract large-scale businesses and foreign direct investment (FDI) to the Province of Newfoundland and Labrador. It provides customized financial assistance to inward investors to support the establishment or expansion of a business in the province as a result of FDI. The fund consists of an allocation for loans and advances towards strategic investments in infrastructure support costs, human resource costs, or other costs.

Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency (ACOA)
The Agency offers many support programs, including financing in collaboration with the provincial government. They provide financial support for FDI, innovation, and clean technologies.

CBDCs are a network of independent, not-for-profit organizations that work in cooperation with all levels of government and the private sector to meet the needs of small businesses. They help small business with loans and financial help, as well as business planning and training.

As an independent Crown Corporation of the Canadian government, the mandate of BDC is to support entrepreneurs. With over 40,000 clients across Canada, they offer financing support and advice to new and existing businesses.
